Tharaka Nithi Nurses Calls Off their PLANNED Strike.

There has been a lot of problem in health sector from the time it was devolved. In almost all the counties, there has been disagreements between the health workers and the county government. This has led to a lot of complaints that the health sector should not have been devolved. Meanwhile the Tharaka Nithi county nurses have called off the strike they were planning to hold.
Mr Kenneth Micheni who is the nurses union secretary, said that the county government has accepted to hear their grievances. They held a meeting with the Health Chief Officer and the meeting went well as they expected.  All the statutory deductions which they said were not remitted by the government have been paid. This was confirmed by Mr Kenneth Micheni.

“All the statutory deductions that had accumulated for many months have been paid,”
This has occurred as the Meru County health workers continue with their strike.
