Good News: Government Now Announces A Public Holyday In respect to Pope Francis Visit


It now official that on Thursday 26th November 2015 will be an holiday. The government, through the state house spokesman Manoah Esipisu, has announced that Thursday will be an holyday.

The state house spokesman man has said that the government has decided to dedicate this day as a national day of prayer.

" “The Government of Kenya has declared 26th November 2015 a Public Holyday and a National Day of Prayer and Reflection.As we are privileged to be hosting His Holiness the Pope at the time, he will set the tone for the day,” said Manoah Esipisu.

Earlier the government had announced that there will be no holiday but instead asked employers to allow their employees attend the mass through their own means. This message was received with a lot of complaints, mainly from catholic Christian members.

Many people are already flocking in the city to attend the mass that will be held by the pope in Nairobi University. He is also expected to meet the youth at the Safaricom sports centre Kasarani.
