Hon Johnson Muthama made a speech at Uhuru park that left many Kenyans talking and others threatening to sue him. This rally was held by cord to show solidarity with the striking teachers.

During the rally , Cord leaders made speeches. Many of them condemned the president for disobeying the court order. The speech that left people talking is that of senator Muthama.

He termed Uhuru as a person who should not hold any public office and therefore he should step down or else they impeach him. He also condemned Madam Ann Waiguru for not stepping aside for investigations of corruption issues ih her office. Some women organisations condemned Muthama for disrespecting Anne waiguru and asked Muthama to apologize to the public.

Anne waiguru also asked the senator to apologize or else she goes to court. Jubilee leaders also said that Muthama showed disrespect to the president and he should apologize. Watch Muthama's full speech on the video below.

Improved health care major success of devolution

Improved healthcare is one of the major successes of devolution, Council of Governors Chairman Peter Munya has said.

Mr Munya said service delivery in a majority of hospitals, especially in Meru County, is now efficient and beneficial to citizens because of devolution.

Speaking at the Meru Technical Training Institute Wednesday when First Lady Margaret Kenyatta took her Beyond Zero campaign and donated the 28th mobile clinic, the governor said counties have made tremendous achievements in the health sector in the last two years.

“For instance in Meru, we have prioritised provision of healthcare and committed the necessary resources.

“About 40 per cent of our annual budget goes to healthcare. It is for you to judge if health has done better under devolution compared proportionately to the last 50 years under the National Government,” Mr Munya said.

The Meru governor said it was important for the both the national and county governments to work together for Kenyans to benefit from devolution.

There have been numerous wrangles between the health workers and the county governments over the management of the crucial function.

But Health Cabinet Secretary James Macharia said health is a devolved function and would remain so.

Tharaka-Nithi County Governor Samuel Ragwa said there is need to redesign the road to avoid the occurrence of accidents.

“There is at least one or two accidents every week at this bridge and everybody will agree that the designing of this road was not the best,” said Mr Ragwa.

He also asked the National Government to re-gazette the bridge as a black spot so that all Kenyans can be alert any time they drive on the road.

John Mutwiri, a truck driver, said that it is difficult to control a speeding long vehicle on the winding road as one approaches the bridge. see also drivers asked to be cautious after the Nithi accident

“The problem is the sharp corner at the bridge which makes it difficult for drivers control a speeding vehicle,” he said.

Only two people out of 14 who were rushed to Chogoria Mission Hospital following the Tuesday accident had been treated and discharged by Wednesday afternoon.

The hospital’s Human Resource and Administrative Manager Maryanne Gitonga, however, said those injured were responding well to treatment.

“Today morning we discharged two out of 14 who were admitted and others are responding well to treatment except for four who are still in critical condition,” said Ms Gitonga.

She said that most of those injured sustained rib and tissue injures due as the bus rolled.

Speaking at the hospital, Maara Sub-County OCPD John Njihia said the injured who had been rushed to Muthambi Dispensary were later transferred to Chogoria Hospital.

BUS leader Kiraitu murungi endorses Ms Mbarire for Embu county governor

Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi has kicked off a political storm by endorsing Runyenjes MP Cecily Mbarire for the Embu gubernatorial seat.
Kiraitu said Ms Mbarire has what it takes to be governor in the controversy-ridden county.The announcement was seen as a direct assault on Governor Martin Wambora who has had a love-hate relationship with the local leaders. Mr Wambora, who holds the dubious distinction of being the most impeached governor under the Constitution of Kenya 2010, has been at logger heads with some MPs and Members of the County Assembly.Interestingly, Kiraitu and Mbarire are from different political parties which are however affiliated to the ruling Jubilee coalition.
Kiraitu is the founder and leader of Alliance Party of Kenya (APK) while Mbarire belongs to The National Alliance (TNA).The senator, who spoke in the presence of Mbarire and MPs John Muchiri and Muriuki Njagagua, said the former assistant minister was fit to vie for the Embu County chief's post.He said development in Embu County had stagnated due to leadership wrangles and the only way to change was for the Embu people to organise their politics well and have the right leaders in place.
"Embu and Mbeere communities have no option but to co-exist peacefully and give equal opportunities to all. The governor's seat requires someone who can communicate effectively, who can push things around and make noise when required. Mbarire fits the bill," he said.

Wambora said Kiraitu's declaration had no impact in Embu and described it as meaningless and misguided."If he (Kiraitu) wants to endorse his line up, let him do it in Meru where he is a registered voter. His word does not hold sway here," Wambora said.Wambora also accused Embu Senator Lenny Kivuti of bringing senators to Embu "to create a wedge between him and the MCAs just when our working relationship has improved.
Wambora's political advisor Joshua Kanake said Kiraitu's sentiments were aimed at keeping the governor busy responding to criticism so that he does not perform his mandate.
"It is unfortunate that Mr Kivuti would gather senators from areas that have a lot of trouble to export their woes to Embu. It is up to Embu people to judge the performance of their leader," Mr Kanake said.He said if Kiraitu feels Mbarire can perform well as a governor, he should support her to vie for the same position in Meru County where he comes from and not Embu.Kanake also dismissed assertions by Kivuti that he had brought close to Sh8 billion to Embu County that Wambora's administration could not account for saying that was just an accusation meant to derail the governor from his work.Mwariama Council of Elders Chairman Njagi Kumantha also dismissed Kiraitu's endorsement of Mbarireas ill-timed and far-fetched.

Many county leaders are spending sleepless nights trying to find out how and what they can do to improve the economic position of their counties.
County governments became functional in Kenya in the year 2012. Since then most counties were not doing very well in terms of development. Many were faced by conflict between leaders of which even today there are minimal cases of conflicts.

The Jubilee mps have been urging the 2 cord principals to retire from politics so that they can get pensions one gets after retiring.
The two leaders have been promised millions if they retire from active politics.
Raila odinga rejected the offer from his political opponents in a political rally held in butere constituency. He said he will continue fighting for justice in Kenya.
He said this as some jibilee mps led by Tharaka legislator Alex Mwiru and his igamba ng'ombe colleague Muthomi njuki told kalonzo and Raila to retire from politics if they really want to receive their retirement benefits.

I spotted this posts from one of the Facebook page that I'm also a member and I found it good to share it with you. This fun must have been disturbed by this issue until he opted to share it with his fellow group members.  He said this,

"In 2014/2015 FY, the following was the budgetally allocation for the four neighbouring Counties; TNC - 3.413B, Kirinyaga - 3.41 B, Embu - 3.47B, Murang'a - 4.831B.
The counties also received level 5 upgrading funds, rural eletrification funds, youth polytechnics development funds! While TNC has nothing to show for these allocations, Murang'a and Kirinyaga were top 15 most developed counties in Kenya in recently conducted survey while Embu despite several impeachments and political rivalries have managed to improve on healthcare, agriculture, rural electrification, education, improved roads network and value addition! Why is it that TNC govt has done nothing with its allocation yet it is the least populated and smallest in size? Is this amount too little for only TNC govt or it is a problem of management within the TNC leadership?Is Gov. Ragwa and his government competent and effective enough to use county allocation to change the lives of TNC residents?What has 5.8 billions in two years done? Where does TNC budgetally allocation go?Why has TNC residents turned a blind eye to this kind of mismanagement and misappropriation of our county allocation?What is so difficult n unique with TNC that is not difficult in other counties? What is the value for TNC money and what is the relevance of the foreign travels by TNC leadership if it does not translate into anything qualitative and quantitative?Have TNC given up on their taxes and given the TNC leadership to do whatever they want with the budgetally allocation?My people of TNC, we are loosing terriblyand the earlier the action the better! 2017 is so near yet so far with these kindof management! Change does not automatically come, its innitiated and bad governance is not fought through fear and cowardise. Its tym TNC pple stood up and demanded value for their money, its not a privilledge but a right.Lets all say 'No' to Ragwa's bad governance and send him home!"
